On April 13th & 14th (11am to 9pm EST), Fort Lauderdale Beach will host Rock the Ocean’s inaugural Tortuga Music Festival. The beach will be transformed into an oceanfront music experience, featuring top country and rock artists and local culinary delights on the shores of the Florida coast.

Together with Rock The Ocean, Tortuga will pair music with meaning by raising awareness about marine conservation and issues affecting the world’s oceans.

Rock The Ocean's Tortuga Music Festival takes place directly on the beach in Fort Lauderdale Beach Park (formerly South Beach Park) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Fort Lauderdale is located approximately 30 minutes north of Miami, FL.

Getting to Tortuga

Tortuga Music Festival utilizes the Las Olas Riverfront area as a transportation hub to the festival grounds. Plenty of parking is available in this area -- including local garages -- where a fleet of shuttles, riverboats and water taxis will be standing by to take guests to their beachfront festival destination. Whether by land or by sea via Ft. Lauderdale's famed Intercoastal Waterway, Tortuga Music Festival is just a short ride away. Fees will apply.

Shuttles will run from 10:00am EST and the last pickup at the festival site will be at 11:30pm EST

Volunteer Opportunities

Work Exchange Team

Work Exchange Team (WET) is the work exchange program where you are able to experience Tortuga Festival behind the scenes! WET members work in fun and exciting departments such as art, site operations, production, VIP, hospitality, and much more. WET members are required to complete a minimum amount of hours and in exchange will receive a full weekend festival pass, a WET T-shirt, and an amazing sense of pride and contribution! Clean Vibes

Clean Vibes, the recycling and clean up crew, will help ensure that the beach is kept clean and as much of the festival waste as possible is recycled.

Clean Vibes has volunteer opportunities available to help keep Tortuga clean! Volunteer positions include during show cleanup, nightly cleanup, and post event cleanup. All during show and nightly volunteers will receive admission to the event in exchange for working a 5 hour shift each day of the festival. Post event volunteers work 10 hours on the Monday after the event in exchange for admission to the festival. All volunteers will be required to pay a refundable deposit and a non refundable administrative fee. Email Clean Vibes for More Info.
